The STCS Vigyan Vidushi 2024 programme is a summer school to introduce women with undergraduate and postgraduate background to advanced topics in theoretical computer and systems sciences. The two-week programme will be held during the period 15th July – 26th July 2024 at the TIFR Mumbai campus, and will consist of short technical courses taught by faculty from STCS, TIFR. Lectures will be supplemented by problem-solving sessions, to enhance students’ understanding.
The programme aims to provide participants exposure to contemporary topics in theoretical computer and systems sciences, and also to promote research in computer science as a career among women. To promote interactions and introduce participants to life as a researcher, there will also be mentoring sessions conducted by students and faculty from TIFR and outside. A distinguished lecture series consisting of eminent scientists will be part of the programme, to give insights into current research trends.
