STCS welcomes Shibashis Guha

Dr. Shibashis Guha joins the School of Technology and Computer Science as a Reader. Shibashis's research interests include areas of formal methods together with algorithmic game theory, timed automata and Markov decision processes. Shibashis obtained his PhD in Computer Science from IIT Delhi, subsequent to which he was a post-doc at Hebrew University, Isreal and Universite libre de Bruxelles.

Dr. Akshayaram Srinivasan joins the School of Technology and Computer Science as a Reader. Akshayram's research interests include Theoretical Computer Science, with particular emphasis on the theory and applications of Cryptography. Akshayaram obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the Univ. California, Berkeley.

Neha Sangwan wins the runner-up award for her poster at CSCIT 2019

Neha Sangwan, graduate student in the School of Technology and Computer Science, wins the runner-up award for her poster at the Croucher Summer Course in Information Theory (CSCIT 2019) based on joint work with Mayank Bakshi (Huawei), Bikash Dey (IIT Bombay) and Vinod Prabhakaran (TIFR).

Deepesh wins Honourable Mention at ACM India 2019 Doctoral Dissertation Award

Deepesh Data, a former graduate student at the School of Technology and Computer Science and currently a post-doctorate researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, has been selected for an Honourable Mention under the ACM India 2019 Doctoral Dissertation Award, for his thesis titled "Communication Complexity and Characterization Results in Secure Computation", under the supervision of Professor Vinod Prabhakaran
